Drop it low

this is the new hot shit.

contessa and crew are killing it in the basement of the Annex here in NYC. i can't wait to see what this looks like tonight cause the cast of characters involved is better than a chorus line on acid.

Electro house in the house

well, this should be fun. after going to all the myspaces for links i do believe i have a new love for synths that sound like guitars.

and they sent 2 mixes to keep us busy until then:

Norrit & Queen Bea

Everyone knows the internet can be a troublesome, trollsome place. thats why its important to stick together like glue gun glue on a rhinestone. But thats not why i keep supporting Palmsout sounds and Norrit. Its because they pay me.

Just kidding. its cause i love and respect em. Personally i think Norrit is a true production original. i was very hyped on The Rhythm EP, Norrit's instrumental debut. Now he comes back with his long distance collab Queen Bea, who sounds soulful and sexy against his colorful yet nasty production.......and the remixes are kinda sick, yo.

We got to contribute a remix to this ep as well, and i'm going to give a little background on it: this was done on an old laptop while on tour. specifically it was done in Congorock and Alberto's living room in Milan.....damn those were the days.

For some reason the vocal samples were put in the trash and lost forever which meant it was done at that very moment, even if it wasn't quite ready......to quote trailer park boys, that's how she goes. anyway it rocked plenty of euro crowds on that tour during our set, so i can say it's road tested, euro approved. peace.

Show at Monkeytown

Monkeytown may be one of the strangest names for a club, but somehow i feel i belong there. I was telling a friend from the band Excepter that we were playing there and he told me he played there for something like 7 hours straight on election day whilst drinking mushroom tea. Wow.

Wednesday, June 3rd, Purple Crush shall rock monkeytown with Anamanaguchi who make hacked 8-bit punk music (who we played with in 2007 at death by audio), and self described "steam punk outfit" Infernal Devices.
